Real Estate Fund I and II
DAR is a leader in real estate investing in India with an assortment of real estate projects that it manages for its geographically diversified institutional clients who are spread across various sectors. DAR launched its first real estate fund in 2007 and today manages large and complex development and construction projects on behalf of its clients.
Our real estate funds have made significant investments in lodging, major urban office buildings and a variety of real estate operating companies. In addition, our debt-focused funds target real estate debt related investment opportunities in the public and private markets, primarily in the United States and Europe.
Signature DAR Montanart Destiny Fund I
A 6 million Euros fund, the ART fund will invest in 100 carefully selected exquisite works of Art of a highly talented but reclusive Italian artist. The fund will be a closed-end fund with an investment horizon of 5 years. Besides investing, DAR Capital Group, along with its partner SURE, will also be a co-asset manager of the fund.
Media Fund
Launched in association with the Signature Group, Signature DAR Media & Entertainment Fund (the Fund) is a close-ended investment trust. This fund will primarily invest the proceeds in the fast growing entertainment sector in India. The Media Fund expects its largest investment to be in a venture with the Valuable Group, the largest digital cinema company in the world. The fund is managed by our sister concern, the Signature DAR Asset Management Company). Research and Analytics is provided by its Investment Advisor, the Signature-Upstart Research and Evaluation.
DAR Agriculture Fund
DAR is the investment manager of a US$ 50 million Agriculture Fund currently under placement. The investment objective of this fund is long-term capital appreciation through investing in the entire value chain of the Agricultural sector in India, from land acquisition and cultivation (owned and contracted) by way of a focused crop-strategy, through to post harvest optimization including warehousing, processing, packaging and retail. DAR has already identified vast tracts of agricultural land in the states of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh and is currently in advanced negotiations to take up a majority stake in a well-known food processing and packaging company in India. The fund will be administered and managed by Signature-DAR Asset Management Company.
DAR Fixed Income
DAR also targets global non-controlling debt investment opportunities in the public and private markets. Its investment portfolio is expected to consist of a variety of real estate and real estate-related securities, including mezzanine debt, and whole loans. DAR intends to invest in various parts of the capital structure in order to seek to produce attractive risk-adjusted returns. This strategy will adhere to a policy of prudent leverage with maximum flexibility to structure investments in an effort to preserve investor capital.
