GFH Economic Development Zone
An alternate city being created to decongest the metropolis of Mumbai, the GFH Economic Development Zone will be spread over an area of acres 1700, and envisages a total investment of US$ 10 billion. Promoted by the Bahrain-based Gulf Finance House (GFH), through a series of three investment funds, it is one of the largest infrastructure projects ever undertaken in India. DAR is the principal investment advisor for GFH for this project and was responsible for the deal identification, origination and activation of this transaction. On an ongoing basis DAR will continue to be intimately involved in the project by way of its Project Management and Sales & Marketing service offerings.
Global Logistics Park
Global Logistics Park is a logistics focused real estate development launched by the Bahrain-based Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB). It is set to be India's first integrated logistics city project and is located on a 400 acre site in Navi Mumbai, close to the proposed new international airport and JNPT. The initial development will include the construction of warehouses, control building, maintenance depot, staff accommodation, parking areas, and various other amenities.
This investment was identified, originated and activated by DAR Capital Group. DAR has also formed a 50:50 joint venture with Opus Developers to further handle the master-planning, project management and infrastructure development components of the project.
Branded Sports Facility in MALAYSIA
On behalf of a consortium of investors from the Middle East DAR is currently in the due diligence phase to locate a site in Malaysia for a dedicated integrated sports and training facility in Selangor, Malaysia. The facility will be managed and operated by one of the most well-known soccer clubs from Europe and will be the first such facility in Asia. The deal is expected to be completed by Q1-2010.
